Cooking Classes in California? I intend to go to culinary school because I want to be a chef but I am only 17 and I can not attend culinary school AGAIN! I really want to know the basics there any free or community colleges that offer cooking classes for children? All cooking classes for people who want a hobby that are not old enough to go to culinary school in California yet? Thank you:)
Who said you could not go to culinary school if you were only 17? My son started at age 16. He had already received early high school 16 years and wanted to learn to be a pastry chef - and he did. And yes, community colleges are the culinary arts - I'm in Los Angeles, BTW. And we have three community colleges with culinary arts programs only in a 30 mile radius.
What do you want to do is use this site to find a school - you better not go to school high-end (aka non-private school of culinary arts - private schools are about $ 24,000 ) - which is very expensive if you have to pay for yourself (or your parents have to pay for - saves a lot of money).

Follow the steps to get your location, field of study, etc. etc. etc. The site will then show you where you will find the schools, the cost, pre-requisites (if any), and so on.
I could not afford to send her to private school head while he went to a community college and it was just as good as private schools. You will be surprised how many public schools offer culinary arts. The only requirement for a minor to go to college or business school, they must obtain the approval of department head - but as long as you're a serious student and not be a disruption in the classroom, they will you leave ....
So you have no excuses - get out and start your training leader! Good luck! PS - Community colleges receive discounts for students for your head held, knives, baking kits, etc. because it must have all these things while you're in school - and not just when you higher.
