Census of Canada? Is there anywhere to see an LDS 1881 Canadian Census? Or where I can see the actual census? Why is there a gap between the years 1850-1901 in censuses of Canada's ancestry? Any reliable is LDS?
Take a look at this

The names do not appear as they are misspelled or they have been tempered with. Agree? Comments?
I forgot why I dropped on the 1881 census ... because the information I could get online with LDS was almost useless (pretty much all the names in my family have been wasted on the actual lists, the census of 1901 it took an eternity to Denomy find my family ... it was clarified Danoumie). With the actual census listings (I used 1911 before it was transcribed as well, and I got lucky with a couple of districts for the 1851 census), there are a lot of work, but you're rewarded seeing the whole family together, and their neighbors, etc. The LDS search, you can not specify a location unless you put in a name ... if you can not pull up all the people with the surname in one place. Incredibly frustrating. I wonder if Collections Canada will eventually have a transcript of their own line. They could ... doubt that we will have access to 1921 for some time, given all the fuss made over 1911, so maybe volunteers will be recruited to transcribe past.
Sorry ... all I am adding my sympathies are.
Your link is not working.
What is the role of Canada? It seems there are separate results for different provinces.

You do not mention in what province, but the Archives of Canada online everything that has been put online. Ancestry.com obtained their archival documents, it is as complete as you can get. Scroll down this page and you will find them all. They are not all in a comprehensive database and unique.
