Cat food? I have two cats (6 and 11 months). I have always fed Nutro Max Kitten (they like that). But especially in British Columbia I thought it was the best food there from what I heard.
A few weeks ago my husband and I left for the night and we needed to buy food in a hurry, we had to get to Wal-Mart (not my choice grrr) but I decided to meow mix kitten. Now, I chose this bc I know that a brand old and I have never heard bad things about her. Ok so we bring them home and my cats love it too.
So my husband is like the bag is permitted in the same size and same price and he thinks they like best and equally good (I disagree). He thinks they are bored of the same thing but I thought we were supposed to keep still while they eat.
I love my cats so much and I want the best for them no matter what. The opinions on this or other cat food elsewhere.
PS> they are all Drys.
Cats are carnivores, or "strict" carnivores. They need to feed a high protein, moderate to high fat, and absolutely no grain. At about the content of the bodies of other animals - a cat's natural diet. As such they are strict carnivores, they are not designed to digest and metabolize grains. They can not use them for energy as humans can. As such, grain and plant materials are stored as fat - which is the main reason why we see cats more fat in our society.
Meow Mix can be an old brand, but it is certainly not a good idea. It is a food below normal, which use too much grain and plant products in office and not anywhere near enough animal-based products.

The source of animal protein in the Meow Mix are the weights, and by products. "The meals are ok, but should not be the main source of protein. Byproducts can be both tooth and offal feathers. Organ meat is good, but it's better if it actually says "offal" just for the pleasure of knowing. beak and feathers are legal to add to pet food, but serve no benefit nutrition for cats. When a cat kills a bird, they eat only the meat inside. They leave feathers, heads and entrails back, so it makes no sense for add to food for pets.
Nutro is slightly better. That's why they cost about the same - they use essentially the same ingredients. The biggest difference is that Nutro kitten does not use sub-products. However, it is not enough protein and animal product based entirely too much grain. Nutro has also been involved in the recall, but not their dry food. However, I would not use their food.
