Cockatiel breeders?! A cockatiel breeder once told me that the use of a 10 gallon tank and the fish a reptile heater is the best incubator for a baby cockatiel. I have a pair of breeding cockatiel who do not know how to care for their baby. I currently have one in a cardboard box under a heat lamp. That's good, but I prefer to the aquarium and the heating pad thing. How do I set the heating pad? How do I use and where do I get them /? And what kind of litter should I use? I really need to know!
For the filling of the heat, you should use about 2 and cover with a thick plush mattress / towel or use more towels / blankets if the pavement of the heat is too hot, it's everything you need for bedding . If the mother is not there, you have to hand feed him with a spoon or a syringe narrowed, but be sure to eat foods with eggs (a paste powder that you add water ) and the feed from the left side of the mouth, otherwise she might die drownage. You'll also need to ensure that food egg is not too hot or it will die as cropburn, you should heat until slightly warm or until you can call warm. If you can not perform this task, I suggest you give babies or hire a breeder bird PROFFESIONAL.
Hope this helps ....
