Do you think that cooking classes should be part of the curriculum? The first step for the survival of civilization is to cook. Just like breathing and body fluid intake of nutritional needs, I know there are some who say "well you do not need to cook everything," they are correct in that statement, but not " everyone "wants to get their food plants, civilized was the watchword. I firmly believe that the kitchen should be placed on the program, not an option, a must, as Phys. ed, if you build your body, you nourish your body, you might as well be taught the right way.
yes
In high school certainly is for boys and girls ... u can start the middle school, but in the 8th grade ...
I do and they have used part of some in the past, I think. I think it will help the weight problem in America, maybe more ppl will cook instead of eating out.
Yes, everyone should know how to make a decent meal.
Yes. At least the basics of meal planning, measurement, and different cooking conditions. They can get everything done in half a semester. I know there are many more "fleshy" courses for children need to take these days, esp. If the college-bound, but cookign is so essential to survival!
Absolutely!
They used a condition on the 7th and 8th grades.
They should be there now, too.

When I went to school, we had to take EC Home. We had to learn to cook and sew. We also had Drivers Ed
These are things they should have kept within the curriculum.
Yes, most definitley
Course!
Yes, I do .. there are many young people out there who do not know how to cook ...
They were optional at the high school where I took it for two years back in the day but we were the first time home-schooling in high school. It would be ideal, but in high school you take your choice and classes that interest you. It would be difficult to incorporate that into the program where it is manadatory. Many schools have struggled to obtain financing for the bases.
I hope this was helpful, Take Care! :)
Yes. And they should have sex ed. Both are important.
Of course I would have liked to have taken cooking classes when I was in school. I think it is important more than ever cause people to eat so much now days. Great meals can be taken at home.
Certainly. base classes for all and more advanced for those who want to become better.
Simply recipes, food hygiene, food handling and recognition.
I saw on the program by Jamie Oliver's School Lunch how the children could not even identify simple vegetables.
If children are like Brit I see no reason to believe American and other nationalities would be a better option.
Certainly, the kitchen is a basic necessity in life.Plus is much healthier to cook for yourself, eat all the time, it will not cost you an arm and a leg. Also, if someone starts to learn to cook in an early age, they may find a great career for them in the future. I took a cooking class in Class 11 and 12, and was the best thing I ever did.
