Family Archives

Family ArchivesLost old family photo, anyway to find in the archives.?

I think I may have lost a family picture 70 years from Russia, is in any way to find the photo in the archive if I can smooth a person with the date, name of the person and place?

It's not very likely that you'll be able to find the photo in the archives more than what was happening in Russia 70 years ago. Is it possible that you have family that could have a copy of the photo? I have been tracking my genealogy for several years and have shared photos with family, I did not know I had before. It might be worth trying.

It is unlikely unless the photo was published in a book or newspaper. Even then, it is not very likely. I do not think that many newspapers have archives dating back 70 years. It is possible if the image has been published in certain types of media fame who is always there, again as a book or newspaper.
