In my previous article on how to obtain a family history began, I recommend writing a biography of an ancestor preferred. In this article I am writing to you on starting your family history with a pedigree.

Assumptions: In these articles, I suppose the ultimate goal is an ancestral family history online using a blog platform.

Many families have different types of family records. You can start by making a sketch in hand writing. Then you can scan it, email it to family members and ask for their comments. You'll get answers and your family history is started.

A better way to start might be to make a family tree online and let parents and friends to see and make comments and suggestions. Today, there are many websites offering free online family trees. Simply enter "family tree" or "tree free" in your search engine and you will see many alternatives.

I worked my way through perhaps ten to twelve free websites family tree. Many agreed, some were good and some not so good - in other words, the quality of these sites are very diverse.

I finally decided on Ancestry.com. It is certainly one of genealogy sites leading. The reasons why I chose Ancestry.com were:

- It is clearly one of the main leaders

- It gives you 14 days free to try

- It was relatively easy to use

- You can invite other people in your family to see your tree

- I feel good recommending

As a beginner, if you start with the resources available to Ancestry.com genealogy, you will save much time. There are so many matters of genealogy on the Internet that is confusing for beginners. Try typing "genealogy" in your search engine and you will understand why many results are overwhelming.

I think most of my friends and clients are happy to pay a monthly fee of descent less than $ 20. Otherwise, like me, you spend hours looking for many other genealogy sites. If saving time is not a problem, then look for the free services that fit you.

Most Internet sites tree let you upload photos of your ancestors. It gets you started organizing your family photos. Begin to organize your photos on your computer to start. My experience is that you must configure a file location on your computer (with several sub files to come) for family photos so you can always return later and find the photo you want - which dates back to research a particular photo will happen several times in writing a family story.
