Need to find family coat of arms? I'm looking for Halas family coat of arms. Can someone help me find it?
In this particular case, coat of arms is a misnomer. It is actually a family crest!
Ridge Halas was given to Mr. George Halas around 1921 by the United States Trademark and Patent Office.
It is one of the few who coat-of-arms/crests changed over time. In its original form, it was fairly nondescript. Pretty much just a head covering in leather. But over time it has evolved and today he is a warrior's helmet in heavy duty plastic with a single "C" on both sides. It also comes with bars on the front to protect the warrior's face.
The Knights of the Halas family never used shields, so it's not part of the shield. Although there are other weapons used, including armor, shoulder plates. Some warriors also had gorget or guardians of the neck. Additional shielding is traditionally worn on the thighs, knees, and most warriors buttbone prefer to protect their "private parts" with an armor specialist. But since there was no historical consistency or standards of these elements, they are not part of the coat of arms. Only the crest of this particular family is used.
The link provided in the sources will take you to a place where you can see the family coat of arms with its distinctive shape and very elegant "C" which distinguishes this family of warriors warrior clans in their confederation other. Thus, like all the coats of arms, it allows fighters to differentiate their allies of their enemies on the battlefield.
I hope that Ted Pack is around. It will probably have good ideas to make you a coat of arms Halas.
As a major contributor to the genealogy, I thought you would have understood that there is no family "coat of arms, they were granted to individuals, not family names, etc., etc. Shirley has a whole spiel about it that she posts about it, but did not this time.
Or do you really know, but for some reason, asking themselves the question incorrectly.
EDIT: I did not say anything wrong or offensive. I thought you knew about it, and found it curious that you would ask this question. So while I think you probably know this, then maybe you have just read your question is misleading, and did not say exactly what you mean. You do not need to be so judgmental and put me on a public forum. Shame on you. Not a very good Christian, you are. Shirley was kind enough to email me privately and let me know that you were only playing around, I did not know what you did.
It is not a coat of arms is the Halas family - Arms were granted to individuals.
It is a green field with silver bars. There is a bear crawling on it, running for yards, wearing oviod in hogskin. . .
Out of curiosity, I checked one of the "major" sources of Arms ... (together with their extensive research) says that the old Halas family sat in the ancient Buckinghamshire .. and wow .. continues to claim that Hillhouse is a variant of that name. You know .. just one of those spelling variants.
I also found a possible source for the commentary Greek, but since this is a fantasy game and the events of the year 3025, I was at a loss for that. It does clearly state "the Greek family Halas.
Maybe the info from George Halas own parents "in the census was a mistake?? Or they just said Buckinghamshire, and the enumerator is misspelled in Bohemia.
If we can cope with a dozen "I'm bored, guess what my nationality" peak, it should not be a problem. "Finding holes in that" at least offers something to learn and use.
