Get Rid Of Woodpeckers

there is a peak which is around my trailer and he kept pecking on my porch and the trailer. I was wondering if there is anything I can get rid of him without harming him? because I do not hurt or kill him. I Shoo off and few minutes later he is back, any suggestions?

Usually when they peck like that, they feed on insects. You can check if you have a bug problem. The birds generally do not travel .. if you can hang CDs or pie tins on a string that reigns in the wind to discourage them. Do not kill, as suggested by the responses of others .. peaks are protected by the Migratory Bird Act Treaty (as are all native wild birds), that affect in any way you can get fined and even imprisoned, besides it being selfish and cruel.
