I often get Charlie horses in my legs while laying down at night. Should I be worried? I do not do much physical activity during the day, but I do ride a lot of stairs. And I googled a horse Charlie. He said it was the sudden onset of cramps caused by a punch or hit a muscle.
Drink more water and eat a banana every day, maybe just a little low on potassium. If persists see doctor to check electrolytes, so normal and no cause found and may prescribe Quinine Sulfate annoying facilitate spasms.
You're either not getting enough exercise, iron, calcium, or water. But this is nothing to panic about. The same thing happened to me and when I went to the doctor they said I was not drinking enough water. So do not worry! and if you do find useful, the best answer! please!
The water and potassium and cunning.
try taking a multiple vitamin.
For typical Charlie horse pain, other responders were correct, however, I have another problem that might sound familiar (just in case you are not positive, it's a Charlie horse)
I did not strike sharp pains in the legs at night, but they do hurt and wake me up. I feel as if it was a deep and almost unbearable pain was there. I never knew what was happening until I had to see a neurologist for an entirely different reason. When I told him about the pain of having the legs at night, he said he looked like a restless legs syndrome and prescribed me clonazepam. I take right before bed and my legs do not hurt or hurt more. I was getting the best sleep of my life! Whereas before I writhe around in bed tossing and turning and eventually standing and walking upstairs. Good luck, hope you find this issue is resolved.
