Longboard Decks

Longboard DecksWhat is the difference between types of wood for decks, skateboard longboard /?

I will soon get a longboard and tried to understand as best one I love. I continue to see advice from different woods (such as maple, birch, bamboo, etc.,) and would like to know the differences between types of wood. and if you know some information about fiberglass and carbon fiber that advice would be very useful. Thank you!

For most boards rather rigid type of timber would be no question, as it is of high quality wood that will not crack and place your face on the asphalt.

However, if the manufacturer tries to do something funny, like they do charge trampolines stock, then the issues of wood. They use bamboo because, in general, is more flexible, and is lightweight but strong at the same time. (I say usually because Rayne is ultra-rigid boards down bamboo)

Fiberglass and carbon fiber are usually added to strengthen a bridge and make it more rigid, generally for heavier riders or riders who need advice more severe (such as chutes, who want their advice to be as predictable as possible. Know: Inflatable = bad, because it will shake you. Do not listen to the voice of others.)

To answer your question directly, the type of wood does not matter. birch and maple are stiffer, but heavier. Bamboo is lighter, but generally Flexia. Just make sure the manufacturer uses high quality wood.

A few companies are known longboard sector 9 (stiff, general-purpose/cruising advice. It's hard to go wrong, but there are better for the money) Landyachtz (a Canadian company. Well known for their guidance down), Rayne (bamboo downhill boards I mentioned earlier), Loaded (trampolines bamboo) and Earthwing (small business, but very high quality, Superglide is highly recommended for beginners).

Here's a useful tutorial / basic guide buy advice. I recommend you spend the time to read all this, because your experience can be the first longboard capture your heart or you scare the hell out of the sport: http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/fo ...

Skate safe and good luck!
