Choose view of my Remington 700 police rifle, Nightforce Nikon vs. vs. another suggestion? I recently purchased a Remington 700 police model. I am now in the process of figuring out what kind of view, I'm looking. Anyone have suggestions. Here's what I know so far, I do not want anything with a greater than 50 mm bell on the end, I will certainly buy steel rings, and finally, the cost is not a factor but I do not want to spend more than $ 2,000 on the field. Very appreciated.
I just bought a Remington 700 sps varmint in 308 and made a threat falcon mildot 4-14x44ffp on it. I absolutely love! This is a great scope for value, and turrets can be reset once your order in, an important point for me because I shoot a lot of different ranges and do not always want to keep track of clicks. they run 400bucks can compete with many more expensive scopes, it also has a 30mm tube so if your shooting with less than perfect light, it brings together really well, (claimed 94%)
Question is what size and how far you are shooting. Personally, I like Burris Scopes. I have 4 of them. If you are looking for hunting prairie dogs requires higher magnification and clarity, then I would suggest a Burris Signature Select 8x32. Cost is 700 I think. Lifetime warranty. Until quality with Leupold.
There are many options! Jump to www.Cabelas.com. I always like Bausch & Lomb! My rifle is my favorite Elk 300 Winchester Mag. . (Elk killed my first one British Enfield 303 open sights)! 300 yrds!
I would go with Swarovski I, it is clear and well worth the money.
