How to clean a playstation??? Have you or do you just wipe with Windex? How clean is where the disc?

I recently bought some canned air and sprayed on the PlayStation. It really helped clean up the rear where you can not get in the groove soon.

I would stay away from the air box! may damage the system and PlayStation 2 (non-slim models) are easily taken apart and cleaned and with my Playstation 3, I wouldnt use canned air. I use a Blu-ray disc for my cleaning. Report Abuse

Funny you ask this question because we have just cleaned. My husband actually took him aside and as long as your complete care, you can clean the interior with a vacuum attachment and a dust cloth. Ours stopped reading the games because the dust had blocked the eye "laser". Just be careful to put the screws, etc., so you can put it back together again. Now, he reads the game. You can take it to an electronics store, but they will probably charge you an arm and a leg for something you can do at home ... Just be careful and it will be good. Use Q-tips too (no chemicals).

air box for the actual disc tray. Do not touch anything in there. alcoholl and wipes for outside. Do not use antibacterial wipes, because they are saturated solutions and can seep into the casing to cause damage.
