The Sony PSP Slim & Lite is a handheld that has been developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The new PSP Slim model of Sony's console is 33% lighter and 20% thinner than the original PSP system. The model numbers have changed for PSP-2000, following the previous region-based scheme of numbering. The speakers are now placed on the front of the PSP towards the top of the screen. The PSP Slim & Lite and the game console model was published in Hong Kong August 30, 2007. It was launched in North America on September 5 and New Zealand September 14, 2007.
