How can you lead sheets Stumpwork embroidery? Stumpwork Embroidery is an embroidery and raised such 3dimentional leaves and other parts of a scene to stand away from work to create the 3D effect
To make the leaves wired Stumpwork I use "trapunto aria in" technique.
Have the leaf shape on a piece of brown paper. Cover it with a piece of shelf paper or clear film Architech.
Brush wire (I use two or more strands of forty size cotton lace.) And the wire that touches the edges of the sheet edges and details with reg thread.
Start working your points filling.
When you have finished filling points, to begin to cover the wire spreading and wire your buttonhole stitch. You can add pins or other.
When you have completed the worksheet, turn the piece and remove the basting stitches on the back. Use pliers to help them out if necessary.
From the front you will now have a piece of "stitches in the air of" freedom from the tendency to use in your work strain.
Hope this helps
See links below for good advice.
I often sew the petals on a sheet of fabric, then cut them and sew them on the flower. This requires sewing fabric on both sides, top and bottom, and cut very careful.
Sometimes your local embroidery shop will have classes. Call around and find out. Also, there are many excellent books on the subject, as you can see on the search list that I provided.
